Hello everyone, My friends and I have planned a trip from Perth to Melbourne, and we are really excited about it. We plan to rent a car, but one of my uncles told me that it is not as cost-effective as it may seem. He further informed me that many companies would force me to opt for vehicle insurance of some sort. I have never rented a car before. I just want to know whether it is mandatory or not. Should I opt out? I would appreciate all of your opinions!
